Xiaomi Redmi K60 wants to copy this novelty of the iPhone 14 Pro

Apple recently presented its new range of iPhone 14 smartphones, with a special emphasis on its Pro variants. One of the attractions was the presentation of Dynamic Island, which, as expected, will soon be copied by its competitors.

One of the first to take this path seems to be Xiaomi, strictly speaking, its subsidiary Redmi with the launch of the Redmi K60. Track left by his top manager Lu Weibing.

Redmi K60 will be able to adopt a system similar to the Dynamic Island of the iPhone 14 Pro

The executive took to social media to ask fans if they would like to see a “smart island” on the screen of the upcoming Redmi K60. Unsurprisingly, fans responded positively to this question.

What Weibing calls “Smart Island” is a notification system inspired by the Dynamic Island of the iPhone 14 Pro. That is, a portion of the screen that will react in different ways depending on the application or service that is running.

Apple did it cleverly to disguise its notch alternative. Its Android competitors will end up replicating it because they don’t want to be left behind by another novelty launched by Cupertino technology.

In fact, a few days after the presentation of the iPhone 14 Pro, we saw a Xiaomi device presenting a similar approach. Something achieved thanks to a programmer of a theme application for MIUI.

In the post above we can see how this programmer managed to replicate the behavior of one of the main novelties of the iPhone 14 Pro. He also took advantage of this software trick to hide the hole in the upper left corner of the smartphone.

The only thing that was surprising in the release of this video was how quickly someone managed to replicate the functionality presented by Apple. And I think it won’t be long before more developers and brands do the same.

It is, for now, a strong indicator that the Redmi K60 will be the first factory-launched models with this novelty. We will see what solutions Android manufacturers can adopt with this option.
