More specifically, the NOS service aims to combat threats such as identity fraud Y malware, all without the need to install applications. It is also important to note that this solution was developed in collaboration with cisco launches on World Internet Day.
NOS launches protection service against identity fraud Y malware In Portugal
Today, on World Internet Day and in a context in which digital security is increasingly relevant, NOS launches the Safe Browsing service in Portugal. This novelty was designed to protect Portuguese families when using the Internet.
Thus, this solution offers the first line of defense against online threats, guaranteeing safe browsing inside and outside the home, on mobile and fixed networks and in any browser.
The national operator innovates again by offering, as of today, the first protection solution for fixed and mobile Internet access on the market.
The secure browsing solution was developed in partnership with Cisco
The new service was developed in partnership with Cisco. Thus, according to NOS, Navegação Segura is simple, safe and convenient. In addition, it is compatible with all operating systems, does not require the installation of applications and software and has no impact on Internet performance. This in terms of speed and latency.
In addition to the various functionalities, the service is equipped with smart lock. It is an algorithm developed by Cisco, which constantly monitors for threats and updates the database of malicious websites automatically.
Thus, every time NOS customers access a new website, an analysis is carried out and, if it is marked as dangerous, access to it is immediately blocked. All this with the aim of protecting NOS customers against cyberattacks and threats such as virus, identity fraud Y malware.
Safe Navigation is applicable to all devices, be it a smartphone, a tablet or a computer, that are connected to the NOS network. It can be applied in two different services: protection in the mobile network and protection in the fixed network.
In the first case, the solution identifies and blocks threats directly on the NOS mobile network, allowing the customer to switch equipment and maintain protection. This as long as the number associated with the service remains the same.
In the case of the fixed network, multi-user protection works at the residential level, protecting all the equipment connected to the client’s fixed and Wi-Fi network.
Finally, the new service is available to all NOS customers with contracted fixed and/or mobile Internet. Plus, membership doesn’t require loyalty and comes with a 30-day free trial.
Safe Browsing for Mobile is available for €0.99 per month for each mobile card, and the solution Secure browsing for repaired for a value of €2.99 per month.
