A YouTuber breaks a table before the Apple Watch Ultra hitting it with a hammer

A YouTuber has tested Apple’s claims about the Apple Watch Ultra’s durability, subjecting it to various abuses.

TechRax, a popular channel for testing product durability, first tested the Apple Watch Ultra by dropping it from a height of about 1.2 meters. The Apple Watch Ultra came out largely unscathed, save for a few dents in the titanium case from the fall.

Next, the Apple Watch Ultra was placed in a pot full of nails and shaken and, once again, he was left with no visible marks.

TechRax also tested the Apple Watch Ultra for durability hitting your sapphire crystal display repeatedly with a hammer.

In tests, the watch withstood repeated knocks until it finally cracked, only after the table has taken damage first. “Hmm… it’s really tough. That definitely doesn’t happen with an iPhone, where you break wood through it.” says the YouTuber in the video.

Although the Apple Watch Ultra screen was not damaged initially, The watch did not turn on after repeated beating. Failure to power on may indicate that although the glass may not have broken initially, some internal components may have been damaged.

Clear, test is not intended to reflect typical use of the Apple Watch Ultrabut it can provide some customers with the security of sapphire crystal display strength.

Apple claims the Apple Watch Ultra is the most rugged, durable and extreme Apple Watch to date and directly competes with Garmin models.
