The Galaxy S23 is the base model of Samsung’s latest series of flagship smartphones. I recently had the opportunity to test the equipment, and in this article I bring you three reasons that make it worth buying.
It is good to note that the Galaxy S23 arrived in Portugal with a recommended price from €989 with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage UFS 3.1. The variant that I advise is the 256 GB one with UFS 4.0 storage, which costs €1049 here for the ‘burg’.
1. Size and comfort
The Samsung Galaxy S23 is a compact smartphone by 2023 standards. At 6.1 inches, it’s a grippy device that’s a joy to hold in your hand. And although it has a flat panel, the curved frame helps that greater comfort when we hold it. The fact that it has a matte back also helps to minimize fingerprints.
2. High-quality flat screen
Samsung and screens in the same sentence are synonymous with quality. The brand is committed to this model on a flat screen with Full HD + resolution, refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and brightness of up to 1750 nits. The result is a great content viewing experience. If you prefer something bigger, you always have the Plus version.
3, Autonomy above expectations
This was one of the points that positively surprised me the most in the Galaxy S23. Samsung has not changed the capacity of 3900 mAh compared to the previous generation. But the power management of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor means that you have a great autonomy in the device. A day of intensive use without problems.
Of course, there are features that deserve honorable mentions. The brand finally opted for a Qualcomm processor for Portugal, in a generation where performance and energy management are a winning combination.
The rear cameras are not at the level of the Ultra. But they offer you versatility, since next to the main sensor you will find an ultra-wide lens and an optical zoom lens of up to 3x. It is also good to highlight the excellent construction, IP68 and compatibility with Samsung DeX.
