This morning Xiaomi took the stage to present the Civi, its new mid-range smartphone. This event served for the manufacturer to also present the expected Xiaomi watch color 2.
This new smartwatch from the Beijing-based manufacturer is a clear evolution from its predecessor. But will that be enough to assert itself when it finally hits global markets?
It is a clock with a rounded design and a 1.43 ”AMOLED panel. This display has a refresh rate of 60 Hz and 326 pixels per inch. Around it there is a metal frame.

Sport is the main focus of this product. There are 117 supported sports modes and 19 professional sports modes. Also in this field, it has dual-frequency GPS, with four positional modes.
It is already a classic of a product in this category, but it has a water resistance of 5ATM. Which means you won’t have a problem getting it into the water. In addition to a fingerprint sensor, it has an SpO2 sensor to measure oxygen levels in the blood. Also in this field, it provides sleep, steps and menstruation tracking.
Xiaomi Watch Color 2 allows you to make calls and install third-party applications
Two very important details are the possibility of making calls from the watch itself, when your smartphone is at Bluetooth levels. Also, the device has support for installing third-party applications.
In terms of autonomy, the Xiaomi Watch Color 2 promises not to waver. Its 470mAh battery promises autonomy for 12 days, the same as the Xiaomi Mi Band 6. Anyway, if you take advantage of its full potential, those numbers will necessarily be more modest.
For now, this smartwatch has only been introduced in China, with a price equivalent to € 132 (999 yuan). The pre-sale in the country will begin this Monday with a promotional value of € 119 (899 yuan).
There is no data on a possible global launch yet, but it will be a matter of time before that happens.
