The range of smartphones Xiaomi 12T it will mark the return of the Chinese brand’s profitable smartphones to the global market with extremely promising launches. Indeed, leaks of information already outline what will be one of the best launches of the year, with adequate prices for Europe, although in Portugal they are always more expensive.
Next, we will present everything we already know about the Xiaomi 12T smartphones, as well as the top model, the Xiaomi 12T Pro, the mid/high-end and high-end smartphones, respectively. It should be noted, however, that this information requires official confirmation and, as such, should be interpreted cum out.
The (familiar) design of Xiaomi 12T smartphones
Xiaomi 12T and Xiaomi 12T Pro smartphones are the next bets for Xiaomi’s high-end segment. Although the base model can be classified as a mid/high range phone, its features and construction will be premium.
We will therefore have a metallic structure to give rigidity to the product, as well as a glass coating. According to digital pictures or yieldthe glass will have an opaque finish, so, with a matte finish.
Also, we have at least three color schemes for the new Android smartphones. That is, we will have light blue, silver (light gray), as well as black (graphite). Also, we may have a special edition AMG Petronas.
In any case, in addition to the schemes and characteristics mentioned here, we can always have some surprises during the event.
We thus have flat screens, tiny margins and power buttons and volume selector on the right side. On the other hand, the left side is kept clean, without buttons.
Metal, glass and color in the next Xiaomi smartphones
The design will be marked by the large camera island at the rear. How could it be otherwise, we highlight the 200 MP Samsung sensor that Lei Jun’s manufacturer will use in this new range of Android smartphones.
This “island” of cameras will have a rectangular configuration, with two auxiliary sensors below, LED flash, and the 200 MP indicating laser etched into the metal.
In addition, in both Xiaomi 12T we have dual speakers for stereo sound.
Pricing can start at €580 in Europe
According to information alluding to possible retail prices of the new equipment, with values ranging from €580 to €800.
However, in Portugal the “click” is the fact that these values must be higher, on average €30 due to the Private Copy Law and other national tax burden.
Although this information must be verified, the prices, for Europe, can be the following:

- Xiaomi 12T 8/256GB = €630
- Xiaomi 12T Pro 8/256GB = €770
- Xiaomi 12T Pro 12/256GB = €800
The technical characteristics of the Xiaomi 12T and Xiaomi 12T Pro
The base model -Xiaomi 12T- will have a 6.67-inch screen, OLED technology and will offer a high refresh rate at 120 Hz with Full-HD + resolution. For its part, the Xiaomi 12T Pro will have a similar screen, but with 6.7 inches, tangentially larger.
The differences will be mainly under the hood, with the top model bringing Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. In addition, the Xiaomi 12T Pro will have 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM as well as 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
On the other hand, the base model could use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 (top model in 2021), or MediaTek’s new Dimensity 8100, the latter being the most likely.
In addition, in this base model we have 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, as well as 128 GB / 256 GB of storage in UFS 3.1.
Both smartphones will also have a 5,000 mAh capacity battery with 120 W fast charge. They will also have Google’s Android 12 operating system with Xiaomi’s MIUI 13 interface.
We can also highlight the USB Type-C port, a new cooling/thermal management system, in addition to the IR port, Harman Kardon speakers, among other assets.
Camera with new 200 MP Samsung sensor
The new camera with a maximum resolution of 200 MP (1/1.22-inch Samsung sensor) may be exclusive to the Pro model. In fact, according to leaks, in the base model we will have a 108 MP sensor.
We will also have an auxiliary camera of 8 MP, ultra wide angle lens, as well as a third camera of 2 MP (macro), to assist this system. On the other hand, the front camera will have up to 20 MP for selfies.
These products, Xiaomi 12T smartphones will be introduced with a new range of TVs – Xiaomi TV Q2 series. In addition, we also have a new smartband, the Xiaomi Band 7 Pro, in addition to the Redmi Pad tablet.
