Soon you will be able to use the services of WhatsApp also on Android and iOS (iPadOS) tablets. This possibility has been repeatedly requested by users of the most popular messaging app in the world, already available for Android, iOS and PC, for example.
Until now, however, the Meta group’s messaging platform (ex-Facebook) had already indicated that work had begun in that direction. However, we are only now seeing the first image and clear evidence that such a boon is on its way to tablets.
Using WhatsApp from an Android tablet or iPad will be a reality
First of all, this feature is currently in the testing phase, available only to users enrolled in the program. beta (of tests). In addition, it is important to emphasize that his discovery was made by the publication WABetaInfoalways attentive to the designs and news of this instant communication platform.
True to the truth, WhatsApp for tablets was first seen in version 2.22.21.5 and 2.22.21.6 of the messaging application for Android. Its use is, it should be noted, quite simple. In practice, it is enough to add the tablet as a new associated device.
It will be enough to associate the tablet to the smartphone to have access to WhatsApp
It should be noted that last May we announced the possibility of using WhatsApp on tablets as part of the new “Multi-device” modality. Something that, however, continued to develop the platform and is now more mature and usable.
As the source itself mentions, at the moment it is possible to associate a tablet to the smartphone that has the phone number, the main equipment. Therefore, we have access to the communication functions of the platform on this new support.
QR code presented by the tablet to be read by the main smartphone
It is important to emphasize, once again, that this option is only available in trial versions, and at the moment only for Android tablets. However, what is certain is that this same possibility will also reach the world of Apple and its Apple iPad (iPadOS).
In short, the way to associate a tablet will be identical, if not the same as we currently use to access the web version of the platform, through the PC. Thus, we can finally respond to WhatsApp messages also through the tablet.
In short, it is enough to read the QR code, which is displayed on the tablet, with the main device (smartphone) and thus grant access to the new equipment. Now we just have to wait for its general availability for Android and iOS (iPadOS).
Status updates with voice clips are also coming to WhatsApp for Android
There are more news that WhatsApp will prepare, for example, the possibility of placing audio clips in Status or Status Updates.
Also note that this option is currently only available to Beta users.
