WhatsApp wants to make money for its users
This new feature will allow users to receive a small fraction of the money they send as cashback. According to the beta version code, this feature could be released in India in the first place.. The value of the cashback will be 10 INR, or around 12 euro cents. This can be obtained 48 hours after a transaction.
At the moment, it is not known if this amount will be increased when the feature is launched. nor if it will vary depending on the amount of the transaction. Receiving just 12 euro cents per transaction might seem quite anecdotal to some users, but it’s already better than nothing. It is also questionable whether the cashback will only be available for new users of WhatsApp Pay or also for existing users.
