The Samsung Galaxy S20 series will no longer receive monthly security patches

Samsung has decided to reduce the frequency of operating system updates for the Galaxy S20 series to quarterly instead of monthly.

This means that if you have one Galaxy S20, S20+, S20 Ultra or Galaxy S20 FEYou will no longer receive monthly security patches from Samsung. Instead, from now on You will receive them every three months.

Samsung has already rolled out the March 2024 security patches for the Galaxy S20 series, so you’re covered for now. However, the phones will not receive the April update. Galaxy S20 series devices are expected to receive a security patch in June.

The Galaxy S20 series launched in 2020 with Android 10 pre-installed. It has already stopped receiving Android updates after fulfilling its three-year update promise.

Along with the Galaxy S20 series, Samsung has also reduced the operating system updates for the Galaxy Note 20 series from monthly to quarterly.
