The Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics are once again singled out for the treatment the athletes have received in the days prior to the start of the competitions. If last week we learned about the odyssey of the Belgian Belgian skeleton pilot Kim Meylemans after her positive for coronavirus after being taken to an isolated place when they assured her that they would take her to the Olympic Village for isolation (something that finally happened after her complaint in social networks), Now the complaints come from the food that several athletes have received in these previous days.

The Russian biathlete Valeria Vasnetsova denounced the poor diet through her Instagram account that they gave him at mealtime. Vasnetsova posted a photo showing a few macaroni, a few potatoes, some sauce, and a few pieces of meat alongside the comment: “My stomach hurts, I’m very pale and I have big dark circles around my eyes. I want this to end. I cry every day. I’m very tired.”

Vasnetsova was receiving this menu for at least five days after her arrival in the Olympic bubble. As happened with Meylemans, the Russian biathlete’s complaint had an effect since, according to the Associated Press, Vasnetsova has received more meals and in greater quantity and variety.
