The entire Visma team was relieved to see Vingegaard back in top form, with Grischa Niermann, the team director, commenting, "Jonas is showing that he is fine, but the Tour lasts three weeks. We’ll see it day by day, but we can certainly be happy with what we saw yesterday."
The team’s concerns about Vingegaard’s fitness were alleviated after the second stage, but Niermann emphasized that the Tour is a three-week event, and Vingegaard will face more challenging stages ahead. The team is hoping to overcome the Rimini stage more easily than the Bologna one, which was a difficult scenario for them.
