Samsung Unveils Plans for Android 12 Launch

Through a post on the Samsung community forum, the South Korean revealed plans to update its smartphones to Android 12. The intention is for the new firmware to be available by the end of the year.

Strictly speaking, the technology defines December as a target for the launch of Android 12 for Galaxy smartphones: it will happen with the availability of One UI 4, which is already being tested on some of the brand’s devices.

Android 12 is coming to Samsung smartphones in December

In the post found by TizenHelp, a moderator on the Samsung community forum reveals the timing for the release of Android 12. According to this, the South Korean intends to make the new software available “no later than December.”

Galaxy S21 Ultra

This statement does not rule out an even earlier release, perhaps sometime in November. It’s a possibility because Samsung released the beta version of One UI 4 in mid-September,

Most likely, the Galaxy S21 line will be the first to receive Android 12 in its final version. These are the models that the moderator mentions in his post, seen by many as a clue to the brand’s update schedule.

If Samsung complies with the release of Android 12 by December, it will repeat the feat achieved in 2020. Last year, the first models contemplated with Android 11 received the new firmware on December 2.

After updating the top of the range, Samsung will begin the process of updating the other smartphone lines. However, its mid-range should only have access to Android 12 in 2022.
