This Tuesday, Realme’s new entry-level smartphone went official. The Realme C55 was officially presented in India with what the brand calls Mini Capsule (minicapsule) on the screen.
This is the branded version of what Apple debuted on the iPhone 14 Pro, Dynamic Island, which replaced the notch on these models. After being presented in India, it is now official that the Realme C55 will soon arrive in Europe.
The one who confirmed it was the CEO of Realme Europe himself, Francis Wong. The executive used Twitter to make the announcement and shared an image of the smartphone that maintains the features of the version already launched in India.
During the presentation in India, Realme said that the so-called Mini Capsule serves to display alerts, such as low battery, charging status or the amount of data in use. You’ll also be able to see the number of steps you’ve taken that day there.
Despite this feature, the device does not have a physical dynamic island. As you can see in the pictures it has a small hole punched in it so the Mini Capsule is software only.
The smartphone is commanded by a MediaTek Helio G88 processor, and comes with the possibility of variants of up to 8 GB and 256 GB of internal storage. It will arrive with Android 13 from the factory.
It has a 6.72-inch LCD panel with Full HD+ resolution and a 90 Hz refresh rate. The 5000 mAh battery has 33 W charging. On the back you will find a 64 MP main camera, accompanied by a depth sensor of 2 MP. The front camera is 8 MP.
