The OnePlus 10 Pro will be the main high-end smartphone of the Oppo sub-brand for 2021. And now that the first renderings of the terminal and even its possible launch window have appeared, other rumors about the team begin to emerge.
OnePlus 10 Pro may arrive without a periscope camera
Digital Chat Station, a renowned leaker, went public stating that the OnePlus 10 Pro can disappoint the most demanding fans. This is because, contrary to what you might expect, you will not be entitled to a periscope camera.
According to this source, the OnePlus 10 Pro should arrive with a “common” telephoto camera. This means that your zoom levels shouldn’t go much further than what we’ve seen before.
The OnePlus 10 Pro is claimed to have a 3.3x variable optical zoom, which is what counts in order not to lose quality. However, the source says that the digital zoom will reach 30 times.
Just having this level of optical zoom does not mean that the OnePlus 10 Pro cannot deliver good results in this segment. But the absence of a higher resolution telephoto camera will eventually sacrifice quality.
Both the OnePlus 8 and the OnePlus 9 Pro, the brand did not bet on periscope cameras for zoom purposes. And according to this source, neither will it in the next generation.
The partnership with Hasselblad will once again be one of the highlights of the OnePlus 10 Pro. And even without a periscope, you can expect it to have one of the best photo setups in the industry. Like any rumor, we should look at this statement with a “pinch of salt.”
