Instant messaging app WhatsApp has been busy developing a new fast-forwarding and rewinding video feature that will soon be available on iOS devices.
This feature applies to videos sent and received within the instant messaging application. This allows users to double-tap the right side of the screen within ten seconds to fast forward and the left side of the screen to rewind within ten seconds.
The function has been in testing since last year and works similarly to YouTube or Netflix. This feature is included in the latest version of WhatsApp for iOS and also works on Android.
Some other notable features of the popular messaging app include the ability to instantly record videos during chats by long-pressing the camera icon next to the chat text field and a revamped tray layout. Chat attachments.
More features are planned for WhatsApp, such as favorites for the Calls tab, allowing users to set the default quality for photo and video uploads, filter group chats, and more.
