Market researchers expect Netflix to increase the prices of its streaming subscriptions in 2024. This is reported by the US media news platform Variety. The reason: Netflix has to pay attention to increasing its sales and, above all, its profits.
Analysts at USB Bank expect sales growth of 15 percent for 2024. In 2023, Netflix was only able to grow by 7 percent.

Netflix has not yet announced any price increases for 2024, but market observers are firmly expecting this.
In 2023, at least in Germany, when it comes to increasing profits, Netflix will focus primarily on curbing account sharing or making users pay for it. You have to pay 4.99 euros per additional user (referred to by Netflix as “additional members”) of a Netflix account. Netflix also tried to increase its advertising revenue. In addition, Netflix canceled the cheapest subscription (the basic subscription for 7.99 euros) without advertising.
Outside of Germany, Netflix also increased its subscription prices.
