Nathy Peluso covers “Living like this is dying of love”, by Camilo Sesto

Argentine singer and songwriter Nathy Peluso closes the year with a version of the classic Spanish song "Living like this is dying of love", by Camilo Sesto, a work that "it has been a craft" as "every detail is built with great care, “according to a statement from Sony Music.

After listening to the song in a "crucial moment" of his life and having felt it as a "revelation", Peluso wanted to bring the classic published in 1978 "towards a nineties sound", and for this, he explains, he called "to very mythical musicians of the style and time" and those he admires.

"Inhabiting a song from the past always becomes a very magical ritual full of sensitivity", recognizes the six-time Latin Grammy nominee, who has not only reinterpreted the song in sound key, but has also been in charge of directing the video clip with Iris Vallés, and of providing all the creative direction.

"I was clear from the beginning about the character and the plastic and disruptive aesthetics of the video clip. I imagined the space, the dimensions and the textures, the colors, the character", points out the artist, who has converted "Living like this is dying of love" in "an acid story that summarizes the internal and personal war that falls in love with what you know destroys you".

A version that comes after a year full of successes for Argentina, which comes from triumphing at the Latin Grammy by winning the award for Best Alternative Album for "Muscle cramp".
