Judge Pedraz orders the blocking of Telegram after the complaint alleging unauthorized use of audiovisual content

National Court Judge Santiago Pedraz ordered As a precaution, pause the Telegram instant messaging application following a complaint filed by Mediaset, Atresmedia and Movistar Plus for alleged unauthorized use of audiovisual content subject to copyright.

As legal sources have told Blaze Trends, the head of the Central Court of Instruction Number 5 made this decision within the framework of a request for a precautionary measure made by the audiovisual companies so that the activity of the messaging application was paralyzed while the investigation was carried out.

The investigating judge decided to order the blocking after requesting information from the application and receiving no response, sas Blaze Trends confirms.

For now, Telegram remains operational, although the blocking ordered by the national court is expected to take place in a few hours.
