It’s just been revealed that Google is preparing to finally reveal its foldable smartphone.
And today we learned about the surprising name of the device and its price that directly competes with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3.
Pixel Notepad: this is the name of Google’s folding smartphone
According to the latest information released, Google has already found the perfect and quite surprising name for its foldable smartphone. Apparently, the terminal will be called Pixel Notepad. And truth be told, the research giant stands out for its originality.
Both Samsung and Xiaomi already use the Fold designation on their folding models and it seems that Google has not wanted to take the obvious route that the Google Fold would be. On the other hand, the laptop shape of the model could also be one of the reasons that led Google to opt for this designation.
The price of Google’s folding Notepad has been revealed
It is also known that the design of the Google foldable will be closer to the OPPO Find N than the great rival Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3. And by the way, the price of the Google NotePad was also revealed today and it seems that the company is even “aiming with weapons” to the South Korean giant’s folding machine.
According to the information released, Google Notepad will arrive at a cost of 1,400 dollars, something like 1,240 euros. Taking into account that in the North American market the Galaxy Z Flip 3 costs 1,800 dollars (about 1,600 euros), the research giant intends to compete directly with the successful Samsung foldable.
In other markets, the Google Notepad’s now-revealed price may not affect Samsung’s foldable, as the company has been reducing the price of the terminal.
Expected Specifications in Google Notepad
But of course, the specifications included in Google’s new foldable smartphone will also dictate its success in the market. Thus, the terminal is expected to have the same Tensor chip as the Pixel 6 series in the controls.
On the optical side, the terminal will feature a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and two 8-megapixel front cameras, with one sensor located on the outer screen and another on the main (inner) screen.
No further information about the terminal was revealed. But leaker Jon Prosser revealed today that the Pixel Watch will launch very soon. Apparently, the delay in the launch was used to improve some specifications and features and now Google considers that the equipment is ready to reach the hands of users.
