Google may present its rival ChatGPT at the event on February 8

OpenAI’s ChatGPT has become a real threat to Google, or so it seems. Google appears to be developing its own conversational chatbot called “Apprentice Bard”, which answers questions in natural language, much like ChatGPT.

if you believe that Google wants to integrate a bot of this type in its search engineand we might not have to wait long to find out what the company has in store.

Google announced a research event for next weekin which he will talk about how he is “using the power of AI to reimagine the way people search, explore and interact with information, making finding what you need more natural and intuitive than ever.”

The Google event will be broadcast live on YouTube on February 8 at 2:30 pm (Spanish time).

The timing of the event also coincides with comments by Google CEO Sundar Pichai during Alphabet’s Q4 financial results presentation on Feb. 2. Pichai responded to a question about Google’s AI efforts, announcing that Google is working to introduce direct language learning model experiences into Search.

Google also said that its AI LaMDA will be the first language model that people will be able to interact with. However, it’s unclear when and how the company will implement this.

It’s clear from Pichai’s statements that Google is ready to flex its muscles with AI now that ChatGPT has conquered the internet. However, the executive believes it is still early days and says the company will continue to test AI products and functions, iterate on what works and build from there.
