Garmin is preparing to launch new smartwatches in its Forerunner line this March.
The brand has two new models on the way, Forerunner 265 and Forerunner 265s, which provide a range of up to two weeks. These are some of its specifications.
Garmin Forerunner 265 and Forerunner 265s could launch this month
Garmin is one of the well-known brands when it comes to outdoor smartwatches. This is due to the fact that the construction of the wearables is quite robust and also to the resources that the brand integrates into these devices.
Now, it is preparing to expand its Forerunner line with two more devices that could launch later this March. However, some international media have already revealed what we can expect to see in these new models.
The first big news is that both smarwatches now come with 1.3-inch AMOLED screens and also thinner bezels. Other advanced information is that the new smart watches will be compatible with Amazon Music, Deezer and Spotify. For that reason, Garmin will not be releasing a Music variant in this series.
According to the spec sheet published by the Gadgets To Wear website, the new Forerunners are also champions in autonomy. The 265 model will provide up to 13 days of battery life in smartwatch mode and up to 20 hours with GPS enabled. The 265s model, for its part, ups the ante with up to 15 days of autonomy working only as a smartwatch and up to 24 hours if the GPS is activated.
From this last piece of information, we know that the two models are equipped with GPS for greater precision in geographic location and in data collection during the practice of physical activity. Still in the revealed spec sheet, we can see that the models will have various sports modes that monitor the progress in the user’s physical performance.
