Asus wants to consolidate its dominant position in the gaming market with the new generation of its smartphones dedicated to this niche. To this end, the company announced today, at its For Those Who Dare event, the Asus ROG Phone 7 and ROG Phone 7 Ultimate.
This new pair of gaming smartphones does not bring drastic changes in terms of design compared to its predecessors. However, hidden within are several innovations that make them solid options and will undoubtedly be the barometer of this market in 2023.

The gaming market is an extremely demanding niche, so any smartphone that wants to stand out in it must have all the best. And in this sense, the new Asus ROG Phone 7 does not disappoint, using the best components currently available.
In fact, both versions of the Asus ROG Phone 7 arrive with the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor: on its own, we already found improvements compared to the sixth generation of these products with 15% gains in performance and energy efficiency.

This will sit precisely on top of the smartphone’s processor for more effective cooling. Its fans have more blades to keep both the back and front of the device cool, even during long gaming sessions.
The AeroActive Cooler 7 accessory also improves sound reproduction on these smartphones. According to Asus, it will guarantee 77% more bass volume, creating a 2.1 sound experience whenever paired with the ROG Phone 7.
The Snapdragon Elite Gaming technology present in the Asus ROG Phone 7 ensures compatibility with hardware-accelerated ray tracing. This means greater reliability in the reproduced shadows, ensuring a better experience in games that support this technology.
It’s also important to note that the Asus ROG Phone 7 arrives with a three-camera setup on the rear. We therefore have a 50 MP main sensor, a 13 MP wide angle and an 8 MP macro.
The battery used by both models is 6000 mAh so you don’t run out of power during your games. But when it does run out, you’ll benefit from 65W fast charging for a full charge in just 42 minutes.

The Asus ROG Phone 7 is now available to order on the official Asus website. The ROG Phone 7 starts at €1,029, while the ROG Phone 7 Ultimate costs €1,429 and already comes with the AeroActive Cooler 7 included in the box.
