The presentation took place at 11:30 am, chaired by King Felipe VIAt 12:50 the talk on Artificial Intelligence took place. It was moderated by Jose Minguez, Head of Innovation at Endesa. In addition, he was accompanied by Maria Borbonés, boss of IMB Research, Manuel Jurado Gras, founder of 67 Keystrokes and Jose Maria Pujol, CEO of Wetalkai.
The meeting began by answering the question posed by the moderator, Jose Minguez: How do you see the evolution of artificial intelligence? What Maria Borbonés (IBM) He replied that he has been working with artificial intelligence practically his entire life. “At IBM we have a motto that I personally like a lot and that is: everyone here has the same access to technology as any company”, it states Maria Borbonés. At IBM they have a constant team, they are continually thinking about what is the next project to do. The latest project they have done is a personal surveillance assistant known as Watson assistant. It is a virtual assistant created to help companies.
“Our strategy is to target our consumers through technology. We have to listen to them and understand them to offer them what they want ”, it states Maria Borbonés.
This virtual assistant is one of the many projects that numerous companies such as IBM have launched. However, this is not the only good thing and it is that, thanks to artificial intelligence and virtual reality, many companies have emerged. So far this year, a total of 80 new startups have appeared.
Regarding the question of: why is artificial intelligence becoming more ‘human’? Jordi Pujol (Wetalkai) commented that emotions are the most important part to be more human. We use emotions to communicate. “We have developed the first software that transforms any artificial intelligence on the market into artificial emotions with emotional expressions and behaviors in real time, through avatars” it states Jordi Pujol. All these creations are a breakthrough in the new digital age. To continue evolving, three important qualities must be taken into account:
- Emotional intelligence
- Thanks to this we can communicate even if the attendees are far away from each other.
- Market artificial intelligence
Manuel Jurado Gras (67 Beats) he was the last to speak at this round table. He commented that it is just as important to talk about intelligence, as María Borbonés mentioned, as it is to talk about emotions, as Jordi Pujol did. Therefore, for Manuel Jurado, the important thing is both.. “Artificial intelligence is here to stay”, it states Manuel. For him, artificial intelligence has many points in favor, but it also has some against, as, for example, the business model. AI being continually modifying, they modify with it, so they have to constantly change their business model. And, the second risk is the biogenetics.
