As in 2020, Apple introduced four new smartphones this year. The iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max have many similarities, but there are several points that separate them.
One of those points is the maximum speed of magnetic wireless charging, known as MagSafe. It is public that this charger can deliver up to 15W to compatible iPhones.
IPhone 13 mini maintains 12W limitation on MagSafe wireless charging
Something about the iPhone 12 mini is that it was limited to a 12W peak, probably due to its size. And as Apple itself has now confirmed, this limitation remains.
As you can read in the support document released by Apple this Friday, the limitation remains. And it’s not exactly surprising, considering that the iPhone 13 mini is similar in size to its predecessor.
“MagSafe is designed to wirelessly charge iPhone quickly and safely. The system intelligently adapts to conditions to optimize iPhone charging with up to 15W peak power for faster wireless charging. Real delivery to iPhone will vary based on power adapter power and system conditions. For iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 12 mini, MagSafe provides up to 12W peak power, “read on official document.
It is important to note that MagSafe charging does its best to prevent overheating while preserving the health of your battery. Thus, even equipment with support for 15W does not always carry this mark.
The iPhone 13 mini arrived in Portugal for € 829
Considering that the iPhone 13 mini has a smaller battery than the iPhone 13, this cut in MagSafe charging speed is not a problem. This is because, in the end, they will take similar times to load.
The iPhone 13 mini is already on sale in Portugal and remains the most compact top of the range on the market. With a 5.4 “inch panel it has the” firepower “of the iPhone 13 brother, and its price starts at € 829 in our country.
