Qualcomm processor manufacturer and ASUS hardware brand teamed up to create a new smartphone called EXP21.

The high-end device brings all the technology Qualcomm can offer. The proposal is that this is a “Smartphone for Snapdragon Insiders – Designed by ASUS”.

According to Qualcomm, the smartphone will feature a 6.78-inch Samsung AMOLED display with a resolution of 2448×1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 144Hz.

This display supports Always-On technology, 10-point multitouch, HDR10 and HDR10+, and 111.23% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, 106.87% NTSC, and 150.89% sRGB. The display will support 800 nits of “outdoor-readable brightness” (with 1200 nits of maximum brightness).

The rear camera set on this device includes an 8 MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, a 12 MP Sony IMX363 sensor ultra wide-angle camera, and a 64 MP Sony IMX686 sensor main camera (1/1, 73w″) camera with f/1.8 aperture, 2×1 phase detection autofocus on the lens and 4-axis optical image stabilization.

At the front, there is a 24MP camera and a dual stereo speaker system with Smart AMP: an AAC SLS0916A-04 front speaker and an AAC 1216SLS side speaker. Inside, this smartphone will have Android 11.

In addition, the box includes a pair of Qualcomm Snapdragon Premium headphones, a 65W Quick Charge 5 charger, a custom rubber boot, and “enhanced” braided cables for power and data connections.

At the moment it is unclear how much this smartphone will cost, and Qualcomm or ASUS has yet to reveal a release date.
