This annual event was once again attended by 4gnews, which continues to assess the growth of the Chinese manufacturer led by Lei Jun in Europe. The focus was far from quality/price mobile phones, rather it was based on products for our home.
Smart Home is Xiaomi’s big bet
The presentation itself was guided by the joviality, the hectic pace and the baton of three great presenters and managers within Xiaomi. In less than an hour we meet the new members of Xiaomi products for our home.
Soon after, however, we can see, feel and ride several of the new products, such as electric scooters. In this particular case, we know the “cheap model – Xiaomi 4 Lite Electric Scooterthe base model – Xiaomi electric scooter 4while the top model Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Ultra it had already been introduced (but was also present).
1. Electric scooters for every need (and budget)
Specifically, the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 range has increased its offer with two new models: Xiaomi electric scooter 4 Is 4Lite. The new electric scooters are respectively equipped with a 600W and 300W motor.
According to Xiaomi, they are capable of reaching a maximum speed of 20 km/h.
Furthermore, with a capacity of 7650 mAh, the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 can reach distances of up to 35 km on a single charge. In addition, it is capable of easily overcoming slopes of up to 16%.
On the other hand, the capacity of the 4 Lite version is 5,200 mAh, providing a range of 20 km.
The drum brake on the rear wheel of the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Lite, in addition to the system E-ABS on the front wheel, they reduce the braking distance, thus guaranteeing greater safety.
The Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4, on the other hand, has an improved dual-action disc brake on the rear wheel for optimized control efficiency. Here it is also important to highlight the E-ABS system on the front wheel, the braking distance will be much shorter.
As expected, both products can be connected to the Xiaomi Home app via Bluetooth to check the speed and charge level in real time. From there we can also update the firmware and monitor driving data.
Both the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 (RRP: €519.99) like the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Lite (RPPR: €419.99) will be available in Portugal from May 29.
Finally, it is important to remember that the Portuguese market currently has the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Ultra (RRP: €999.99).
2. Really competitive (and smart) robot vacuums
Xiaomi products were once cheaper and more competitive, an undeniable reality. Therefore, with obvious surprise, I saw the really captivating prices, especially in the campaign. Early riser also coming to Portugal, announced for these robots.
The objective? Take on the leading brand: the North American iRobot with its ubiquitous Roomba. There is still a long way to go within Xiaomi, especially in the company’s application and its translation into Portuguese and ease of use.
Four Xiaomi robot vacuum cleaner models arrive in Portugal
It was with obvious (and positive) surprise that I saw their prices shine on the big screen. I already knew that these features would be good, this was never in doubt, only the price, so I emphasize it again: a big surprise in the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum.

I have (personal) reservations about the superiority in quality and cleaning efficiency of these robot vacuums over Roomba rivals. However, it is undeniable that Xiaomi has substantially improved its offer in this segment.
What is certain, however, is that Roombas are generally more expensive, not that Xiaomi’s latest equivalent products are cheap. Still, once again these prices were very surprising on the upside given the reality of the market we are currently experiencing.
The best of these models is the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X10. The top of the range was designed to make cleaning simple while ensuring maximum performance and its self-cleaning base really backs this up.
In addition, it is equipped with a 5200 mAh battery, which provides 180 minutes of autonomy on a single charge at maximum suction power. It has two rotating mops that, here, I see a good practical use for.
Also standing out for its intelligent base, this versatile cleaning device is prepared to clean all types of floors, thanks to a suction power of 4,000 Pa. This is an extremely promising product in all aspects.
We have intermediate models in the range of robot vacuum cleaners
The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S10+ and Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S12 expand the S series. Now, like all S and X series products, they are equipped with LDS technology to plan an efficient cleaning path, regardless of the size and design of the room. home. .
Finally, for those who are looking for a product with an ultra-slim design, but without giving up high suction power, there is the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum E12, which allows easy access even under the sofa or bed. It is the cheapest, but it has its advantages.
It was here that the core of Xiaomi’s presentation rested, on suction power, smart navigation, the convenience of the self-cleaning base, and cleaning efficiency. I must say that the technical characteristics are promising in all areas.
That said, until May 28, the latest Xiaomi robot vacuum cleaners will have a promotional launch price.
3. Xiaomi Pad 6 is the new Android tablet ready for 2023
The Xiaomi Pad 6 features a beautiful design that is thinner and lighter compared to the previous version and has an elegant metal finish. Clearly, it was the most discreet product that was presented in Milan.
The Android tablet is powered by the Snapdragon 870 processor and is equipped with an 11″3 LTPS LCD display with WQHD+ resolution, up to 144Hz refresh rate, 309 ppi. It also supports Dolby Vision and HDR10.
The Xiaomi Pad 6 has a 13 MP main camera and an 8 MP front camera, and is equipped with four speakers for stereo sound thanks to Dolby Atmos. The technical characteristics are captivating, but we do not know its price.
The battery has a capacity of 8,840 mAh (typical), provides up to 16 hours of video playback and supports 33W fast charging. Plus, thanks to the USB 3.2 Gen 1 port that supports speeds up to 5 Gbps and 4K video output 60fps with DP Interface, file transfer to laptop will be even easier and faster.
Finally, it remains to know the price of the Xiaomi Pad 6 that will arrive in three color schemes in Europe: Champagne, Gravity Gray and Mist Blue. The exact date of arrival in stores in Portugal (and respective prices) are not yet known.
Milan witnessed the strength of Xiaomi in Europe
In any case, this was a demonstration of form by Xiaomi, a brand that wants to achieve the same prevalence in our homes with IoT gadgets, already having it in our pockets with its Android smartphones.
The range of products that we know is focused on the quality / price ratio (and this time the price aspect is really good), so we anticipate a good reception also in Portugal.
Finally, I think that the Portuguese consumer will benefit from the arrival of these Xiaomi products in our market, in view of all the above.
