In early 2021, Xiaomi introduced its first folding smartphone in China. The Mi MIX Fold came to compete directly with the Galaxy Fold, being able to function as a smartphone or tablet.
According to the latest rumors, Xiaomi may be thinking of updating this product earlier than expected. with which the filter Bald Panda, the manufacturer prepares an improved MIX Fold, not exactly a MIX Fold 2.
This power supply says that there will be an improvement in the charging speed, going to 5000mAh of battery capacity and 120W of speed. In addition, the internal and external displays can support high refresh rates of 90 Hz or 120 Hz. Similar to the interior screen of the Galaxy Fold, we can also have this camera under the screen on this model.
In comparison, the current Mi MIX Fold has a 5020 mAh battery with a 67 W load. However, its internal screen has maintained its 60Hz refresh rate and it has no camera for selfies or video calls.
The Galaxy Z Fold 3 was the first foldable smartphone to come with a front camera built into the display. This is far from showing incredible results in low light conditions. But it doesn’t behave badly in the sun, as you can read in my smartphone review.
If this model is confirmed, it is not certain that Xiaomi will launch it in global markets. But as with other products, it will be a matter of time before this happens with this or another model in the future.
