William Shatner, Captain Kirk, truly travels to space

"I’m fucking Captain Kirk!"said William Shatner at New York Comic Con, and he demonstrated this Wednesday morning by traveling into space thanks to Jeff Bezos’ company Blue Origin. The actor made this comment, referring to the character he played in the mythical series "Star Trek" (Star Trek), a role he played both on television and in movies, and after being told that he was going to be the oldest person to travel to space.

In it, at the head of the ship Enterprise, he lived many fictional space adventures, but nothing compared to the one now in which he has done it for real

Visibly excited, the 90-year-old Shatner was the first out of the capsule, landing in the Texas desert after becoming the oldest person ever to travel into space. It was received by Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon and developer of the Blue Origin program, which makes space travel possible for people outside the world of astronautics.

Shatner tried to describe in words the emotions he felt during approximately 11 minutes when aboard the New Shepard NS-18 flight, he traveled beyond the Kármán Line, the limit of space and which is recognized internationally. "I can’t begin to express what I want to communicate"the actor explained to Bezos.

On this adventure, Shatner was joined by Blue Origin Vice President of Flight and Mission Operations Audrey Powers, Chris Boshuizen and Glen de Vries. The price they paid for this trip into space has not been disclosed, which is contrary to Bezos’ competitor in terms of taking tourists to space, Richard Branson, who with his Virgin Galactic charges $ 450,000.
