Recalling his debut days, Emraan Hashmi said, “When I thought about entering Bollywood, my first project was with Vikram Bhatt.” I wanted to make my debut in Bollywood with this film. The name of this film was Footpath. This was a crime thriller. If the film is about Vikram Bhatt, then Mahesh Bhatt played a very important role in the making of the film. Before making this film, Mahesh Bhatt had warned Imran that he should either accept what I said or forget the dream of the film industry. Mahesh Bhatt had clearly told me that if Mahesh Bhatt doesn’t like my work during the shoot, he will stop my work mid-shoot and throw me out of the film.
The actor further said that if I had wanted to, I would not have started work fearing Mahesh Bhatt’s warning, or maybe I would have gotten angry and gone to someone else to look for work. But back then, I used this warning from Mahesh Bhatt as motivation. After that, I decided that I would dedicate my whole life to films and prove myself. The actor played the role of Raghu Srivastava in this film. Everyone was surprised to see my acting in the very first film. From then to now my journey continues.
