For two years now, the crypto community has witnessed the dragging lawsuit between Ripple (XRP) and the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The case seems to be cautiously approaching its final phase, and to celebrate, a Dutch crypto broker is giving all new users 30 XRP for free.
Ripple lawsuit
The lawsuit began in 2020 when the SEC accused Ripple of using XRP tokens as securities, ie securities, to sell without the required permits. Ripple has always denied this allegation, stating that XRP is not a security. This is the crux of the dispute between the two parties.

A CEO at Coinbase has already tentatively indicated that they will list XRP again on the platform if the court rules in favor of Ripple.
