Apple unveiled a new subscription for its Apple Music service during its October 18 keynote. Priced at just $ 4.99, it allows you to enjoy the service only via voice. It is also cut off from some functionalities.
“Hey Siri, play me some music!” If you are a fan of Apple’s voice assistant, you may only go through this way to listen to music through Apple Music. In this case, the Cupertino company has an interesting offer to offer: Voice Plan.
Presented during the keynote of October 18, 2021, Voice Plan is a new subscription for Apple Music. It is offered at $ 4.99 per month (compared to $ 10 for the classic subscription). For this price, a single user will be able to use the service (via an identifier linked to the brand) on all his Apple devices.
Voice Plan lets you enjoy Apple Music for just $ 5 per month
Voice Plan has a particularity: it only works with Siri, so with your voice (via HomePod, smartphone, MacBook…). You therefore cannot access visual navigation, lyrics or clips. In addition, spatial audio is not part of the game. But for this price you will be able to play all music from Apple Music by asking the voice assistant, and even enjoy customized Playlists for the occasion. Do you have friends who are coming to dinner and you want a cozy play atmosphere? Ask to launch the Dinner Party playlist. Want something punchy for working out? Ask for the running playlist. Etc.

Voice Plan will be available in the coming weeks in the United States, but also in France. If the European price has not been announced, we can expect a posted price of 5 euros. The classic Apple Music subscription at 10 euros does not change and includes all the features of Voice Plan.
At the same time, Apple also introduced other products, such as the third generation of Airpods, but also its new MacBooks Pro. The latter have the new version of the manufacturer’s M1 chip: the M1 Pro and the M1 Max.
