He stood in line, like everyone else. Former British footballer David Beckham gathered in front of the coffin of Queen Elizabeth II on Friday, September 16, at the Palace of Westminster, London, after a long wait that began in the middle of the night.
Come “at 2:15 a.m.”the former England national team captain mingled with the crowds in the British capital. “We all want to be here together, experiencing something to celebrate the incredible life of our Queen. Something like today is meant to be shared.”he told the BBC.

Alongside the anonymous people with whom he lived this experience, the former Manchester United and Real Madrid star said he had “ate Pringles, [bonbons] Sherbet Lemons, sandwiches, donuts”. One of her neighbors expressed her respect for the ex-Parisian, who admitted some pain “back and feet”. “He stood firm with us”she greeted.

At the microphone of the ITV channel, the player also spoke of the emotion that gripped him every time he sang the national anthem before a football match. “It was something that meant so much to us”he recalls.

“The most important moment for me was when I received (my medal of) the Order of the British Empire. I had taken my grandparents, true royalists, with me”David Beckham told Sky News again. “I was so lucky to be able to experience such moments in my life, to have been able to approach Her Majesty”he added.
