Twitter will launch next week new symbols to verify the accounts of companies and members of the government and that they will be added to the well-known blue mark used until now in the social network, as announced this Friday by the owner of the technology, Elon Musk.
"Gold mark for companies, gray mark for government, blue for people (celebrities or not) and all verified accounts will be manually authenticated before the flag is activated. painful but necessary"said the businessman in a message through his own account.
Responding to a user, Musk revealed that it is a new service called "verified"that I know will activate "tentatively" next week friday and that he will give more information in the coming days.
In other messages, he offered more details, such as that the identity theft "deliberate" will be punished with the suspension of the account, and that certain data such as the biography will allow to distinguish people that "they genuinely have the same exact name".
Shortly after buying the social network for 44,000 million dollars, and in the midst of massive layoffs of its staff, Musk imposed the verification of accounts by payment, but numerous pranksters and impostors caused the measure to lurch and the businessman rethink his plan.
This past Monday, Musk indefinitely postponed the application of that measure due to the proliferation of fake identities, and suggested that he was working on different color marks for organizations and individuals, similar to what was announced today.
