The cities of Jeddah and Makkah in Saudi Arabia received heavy rain with thunder, which flooded the low-lying areas.

The heavy rain affected the traffic system on the Jeddah and Makkah roads, while there is an unusual rush of passengers at the Jeddah Airport due to the unfavorable weather conditions.

Due to the rain, flight crews are facing difficulties in reaching the airport, which is likely to affect flight operations.

The spokesperson of Pakistan Airlines said in his statement that the staff at Jeddah Airport is there to guide the passengers. Passengers are requested to reach the airport five hours before their flight so as not to get stuck in traffic jams.

The spokesperson added that passengers can check the departure time of their flight from PIA helpline, Jeddah PIA office and their travel agent so that passengers do not face any problem regarding their flight.
