The TikTok application has launched a new version with which it will pay its users for watching videos on its social network.
This was announced by the Chinese company ByteDance when launching the TikTok Lite application in four countries: Spain, France, Japan and South Korea.
According to the company, this version can only be used by people over 18 years old and controls the records of its users to ensure that they meet this minimum age.
“TikTok Lite users can earn points by discovering new content or taking certain actions,” the company said.
This allows users to convert these points into an Amazon gift card, PayPal voucher, or use them to support other creators.

The company also stated that these points are earned for logging in, liking, or inviting friends.
According to the Chinese company, TikTok Lite will be available for iOS and Android.
The main goal is to increase user interaction time on the social network, but this time with a monetary incentive.
The only difference from regular TikTok is that you cannot broadcast live in this new version. In addition, it uses less data and does not contain advertisements.
TikTok has become a very popular application among young people and already has more than 1.5 billion users worldwide.
The social network has been embroiled in several controversies after being accused of spreading disinformation videos, dangerous challenges and pornographic images.
In addition, several countries have assured that it could be an espionage and propaganda tool in the service of China.
