In fact, during an interview, Gippy Grewal said that her children Gurfateh and Shinda Grewal were going to participate in Aamir Khan’s film. Their auditions were also held. But the casting director ruined the whole game by saying one thing.

Gippy said that the casting director had commissioned some videos of his son Gurfateh. Later things didn’t work out as the son had to get his hair cut at a later part of the film. Gippy’s family did not agree to this. Keeping hair among the caciques is a matter related to religious sentiments. That’s why the filmmakers didn’t include Gippy’s son in the movie again.


Then Lal Singh Chaddha Makers also requested a video of Grewal’s son Shinda for the film. Shinda played a small role in Gippy’s 2016 release ‘Ardaas’. Gippy says that “when the filmmakers came to me, they wanted to cast Shinda in the role of Aamir’s childhood in the film. The casting director stayed in touch with me for a long time. Apart from some videos of Shinda, he also got videos of him saying hello in Punjabi which was his appearance test At the time I didn’t have any information about the movie but then things didn’t work out.
