A 23-year-old woman was charged Friday killing of his ex-partner, a 22-year-old young man who died after being stabbed in the chest. The crime occurred in the back room of a house Maroñas flower.
Third-shift prosecutor Adriana Edelman got the woman charged with murder. As a precautionary measure, preventive detention was ordered for 180 days while the investigation continues.
The crime occurred minutes before noon this Thursday in the back of a house on Santiago Arrieta and Calle 3. The investigation revealed that the woman had argued with her ex-partner about a house and in this context attacked him with a knife. They were separated about months ago and have been fighting for a house ever since.
According to information gathered by investigators in the case, she tried to ask the man to leave, an argument ensued, and then she stabbed him. The victim sustained injuries to the chest and died at the Malinas Street Polyclinic.
In an initial statement, the woman told police that her ex-partner had argued with another person, but then admitted that she had stabbed him. The ex-girlfriend was arrested by the homicide police and made available to the public prosecutor.
In March last year, the murdered young man reported the woman in custody for domestic violence.
