The third season of ‘Coke Studio Bangla’ begins with the song ‘Tanti’

Arnav, Ganjer Ali and Oli Boy opened the third season of Coke Studio Bangla with a song titled ‘Tanti’. This song tells the story of the weavers of Bangladesh. The song was sung by Shayan Chowdhury Arnab, Ganjer Ali and Lewis Anthony, better known as Oli Boy.

Shatrupa Thakurta Ray, Md. Written by Ganjer Ali and Louis Anthony, the song was produced by season three music curator Shayan Chowdhury Arnab.

A weaver is an artist who weaves fabrics that are reminiscent of our culture’s rich history. As the fabric is weaved, a kind of rhythm is created. With the sound of the loom, each thread becomes the foot of the song. And every leg carries this tradition from generation to generation.
This word, this theme is highlighted in Coke Studio Bangla’s new song.

Arnab’s composition with Tanti Ganj’s Ali expresses this artistry. Added to this is Ollie Boys fusion of Afrobeat. The performance of this Bangladesh-based Nigerian artiste adds a new dimension to the song.

The song also features a special cameo appearance by Jaya Ahsan, who is also part of the song’s background vocals. The song “Tanti” can be heard on Coke Studio Bangla’s official YouTube and Spotify channels.
