Spanish actress Veronica Forqué, who played the famous character of Kika in the eponymous film by Pedro Almodovar, committed suicide and his body was found Monday, December 13 at his home in Madrid, we learned from a police source.

Born in Madrid in 1955, she is the daughter of director José Maria Forqué and writer Carmen Vazquez-Vigo. Making her film debut under her father’s direction in the early 1970s, she saw her career crowned with four Goya Awards, Best Actress (1988 and 1994 for Kika) and Best Supporting Actress (1987 and 1988). She also performed in the theater and on television.
