The iPhone 14 Pro Max is the pinnacle of Apple’s new line of smartphones and succeeds a champion of autonomy in 2021. To see if the new team from the Cupertino company lives up to its predecessor, nothing better than a new comparison.
The tests were carried out by the publication PhoneArena and place some of the most influential models on the Android market next to the iPhone 14 Pro Max. The results obtained demonstrate a clear dominance of the new Apple product.
iPhone 14 Pro Max rocks models like the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra
In this test, PhoneArena used the two iPhone 14 Pro models along with the Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 7, Pixel 6 Pro, and Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. Despite having the smallest batteries, Apple products are the winners of this challenge.
To evaluate the energy potential of these products, two types of tests were carried out. First, the typical Internet experience was simulated, one of the least demanding tasks for any smartphone.
In this scenario, the iPhone 14 Pro Max comes out the winner with a total of 19 hours and 5 minutes. In second place comes his brother iPhone 14 Pro reaching 16 hours and 18 minutes in the same conditions.
The first Android device to appear in this table is the new Pixel 7 Pro, in third place, with a battery life of 14 hours and 19 minutes. At the bottom of the table we have the Pixel 6 Pro with 13 hours and 13 minutes.
Moving on to the second test, we see the behavior of the same smartphones when watching videos on Youtube. Once again, it is Apple’s new supersumo that emerges victorious from this dispute.
The iPhone 14 Pro Max has a battery life of 11 hours, followed by the Pixel 7 Pro with 9 hours and 39 minutes. In this scenario, the iPhone 14 Pro loses to Google’s new smartphone by 25 minutes.
Under these conditions, the last position is occupied by the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra with a range of 7 hours and 27 minutes. A result that makes you think, since the South Korean model has a battery with the same capacity as the Pixel 7 Pro.
These conclusions testify, once again, that the optimization between software and hardware plays a very important role in the autonomy of the equipment. In the case of the iPhone 14 Pro, they come with the most restrained batteries of this batch and, even so, they come out ahead of their competition.
