Former Dallas Cowboys widereceiver Michael Irvin was one of the notable absentees during NFL Network’s coverage of Super Bowl LVII, The same one in which the Chiefs beat the Eagles 38-35 to win the Vince Lombardi trophy.
Irvin was removed from the team after being accused of wrongdoing while covering Arizona. However, this Thursday an important victory was scored in Court. In accordance with TMZ Sports, a judge ordered an Arizona hotel to turn over any video it has of an interaction that the Hall of Famer had with a woman that ultimately led to his being left out of NFL Network’s Super Bowl coverage.
Irvin’s attorney, Levi McCathern, requested the images of the Phoenix Marriott in a motion filed Thursday morning, believing it would help exonerate the legend from the nflwho had been charged with wrongdoing while in Arizona to report on SB LVII for the league’s television station.

In addition, the same news portal disclosed that the judge also ordered that the hotel must provide the name of Irvin’s accuseras well as other people who have filed a complaint against Irvin.
Why was Irvin removed from coverage?
Irvin was removed from NFL Network’s SB LVII coverage on February 7. after they apparently received complaints from the woman about the meeting. Given this, the former player sued the hotel and the woman who was identified simply as Jane Doe for defamation.
At least so far neither Marriott nor NFL officials have said publicly what the allegations against Irvin really are.
