The accident occurred when two trucks collided head-on this Wednesday morning at kilometer 187 of Route 9 in Rocha. A 57-year-old woman died at the scene and six people, including two minors, sustained various injuries.

The driver of the Fiat truck (Sergio D’Andrea Cuello, 58-year-old Uruguayan) is in serious condition and in hospital in Rocha.
