While Interpol is searching hard for the founder of Terra, a suspicious transfer of a huge number of Bitcoins has been discovered. This transfer was probably made by Do Kwon and took place right after his arrest warrant was issued.
Shortly after South Korean police issued an arrest warrant for Terra’s founder, 3,313 BTC were suddenly transferred to two crypto exchanges, reported news website Coindesk.
Do Kwon Sends $66 Million in Bitcoin
Since 1 Bitcoin now costs about $ 20,200, this means that Do Kwon has made a transaction of more than $ 66 million. The transactions were made from a crypto wallet of the Luna Foundation Guard, which was created on September 15. That’s a day after the arrest warrant was issued. Freeze transactions
South Korea has taken immediate steps to freeze assets related to Do Kwon. The police immediately sent a request to both KuCoin and OKX to freeze the 3313 Bitcoins.
According to CoinDesk Korea, KuCoin froze 1,354 BTC, while OKX ignored the request as the 1,959 may have already been moved to another exchange.
Do Kwon still says he’s not on the run
Meanwhile, Do Kwon continues to shout that he is not on the run. Also this week he writes again on Twitter that he is not on the run from the authorities. He says he makes ‘zero effort’ to hide.
Tell tells Terra’s founder that he doesn’t believe Interpol has issued a red notice. He says that he cannot find his name on the Interpol list and that he is not afraid of being arrested.
