Target: October 11 conference could reveal new VR headsets

Meta just announced on their Oculus blog that they’re holding a world conference on October 11.

Under the slogan “a vision of what is to come in the near and distant future”, this could be the event chosen by the company to present its Virtual Reality helmet.

Meta chose his Oculus blog to announce that he will be holding his Connect conference on October 11. For now, the only advance information is that the event will show the progress made in the metaverse universe and that it will offer “a glimpse of what is to come in the near and distant future.”

As hard as he tries, Mark Zuckerberg is failing to create the buzz that the 2021 Connect conference managed to generate with the announcement of Facebook’s name change to Meta.

But maybe after the event, you can focus all the news on your company and metaverse project, especially if you reveal the new Virtual Reality headset at this conference. And, apparently, the device will even be presented on this date.

Last Tuesday, Zuckerberg shared on his Facebook page an image of him wearing headphones, which could be the new device we know as Project Cambria, with a message that only said “see you on October 11.”

The Meta CEO also said that the headset will include eye and face tracking. Other rumors claim that the model will also be equipped with high-resolution screens and that it will be more expensive than the current Oculus Quest 2.

And, for now, this is the information available, but it is likely that closer to the date of the event more revelations will be made.

Meta Connect will also present news in Horizon Worlds

But it seems that the Meta Connect conference will not focus solely on the Virtual Reality device. Mark Zuckerberg has already publicly confirmed that more news about Horizon Worlds will be announced during the event.

Remember that Horizon Worlds is Meta’s metaverse application that allows users to create experiences within a Virtual Reality universe, in the style of the VRChat program.

Also recently, Zuckerberg posted an image of a screenshot of Horizon which caused quite a stir in the web world, due to the poor quality of the graphics presented.

Quickly, the CEO of Meta tried to calm the users’ spirits, assuring that on October 11 important new features will be introduced in this field.
