SRH and HCA Resolve Dispute Over Ticket Sales and VIP Boxes

The Sunrisers Hyderabad team has been at odds with the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) over ticket sales at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. The team claims that HCA has been taking advantage of ticket sales since 2024, with HCA President Jagan Mohan Rao allegedly blackmailing the team. This led to the team threatening to change its home ground.

However, in a recent development, the Times of India reports that the two parties have ironed out their differences. HCA has agreed to cooperate with the Sunrisers Hyderabad management in a professional manner. A meeting between the two parties resulted in a resolution to the issue, with both HCA and SRH committing to work together.

The issue began when SRH sent a letter to HCA’s treasurer, warning that they would complain to the BCCI if HCA’s behavior regarding IPL ticket sales didn’t change. The dispute centers around VIP boxes at the stadium, with SRH and HCA having an agreement to provide 3,900 seats for beneficiaries. Tensions rose when HCA officials attempted to claim rights to additional VIP box seats.

Looking at SRH’s performance in the IPL 2025 season, the team has won just one match out of three and currently sits in eighth place on the points table.
