Ad spend hit 400.9 million euros in February. That’s 3.2% less than the same time last year.
This downturn shows up in the latest numbers from InfoAdex. They track how ad dollars are spent each month.
Where the money’s going
TV is still the top spot for ad spend. But it’s down 11.3% from last year. Advertisers spent 131.1 million euros on TV ads in February.
Search ads came in second. They’re up 3.4% from 2024, with 62.7 million euros spent. Social media took the third spot. Ad spend there jumped 5.3%, hitting 55.6 million euros.
Newspapers and Sunday papers saw a 2.4% bump. They pulled in 44.3 million euros.
Other media
Radio and digital audio dropped 7.6%. They came in fifth, with 40.3 million euros spent. Outdoor ads, on the other hand, were up 16.5%. They hit 28.8 million euros.
Other websites saw a small 0.7% increase. They reached 25.4 million euros. Magazines were up 5.2%, with 11.4 million euros spent.
Movie ads had the biggest jump – 73.3%. But they’re still the smallest slice of the pie, with just 1.3 million euros spent.
