Mason Mount’s season has been a letdown – just like his team, Manchester United. The English midfielder has played only 14 games due to injuries and hasn’t scored or assisted any goals.
But there’s a glimmer of hope. According to The Athletic, Mount won’t be leaving Old Trafford anytime soon. Coach Ruben Amorim has a plan to get him back on track.
The priority now is to keep Mount fit for next season. Amorim likes him because he fits the team’s system. The coach has said Mount can play in two positions in their current setup.
Mount joined United in summer 2023 for around 65 million euros. But injuries have kept him from becoming a regular starter. His last injury was in mid-December. He returned to the field in a loss to Nottingham Forest on Tuesday.
