The new series Moon Knight of marvel comics : “ Black, White & Blood » demonstrates that Spiderman and Marc Spector deserve a TV adaptation. Although the duo only get a short history in this anthology issue, it’s more than enough proof that their dynamic is incredibly complementary. Whether in print or on screen in the MCUs, this new number forces the desire to see the two friends working more together.
After the success of other saga Black, White & Blood featuring characters like Wolverine, Deadpool, Rampage and Elektra, Moon Knight is the perfect choice to have his very bloody bow. The white suit naturally lends itself to this particular mixture, in particular because the brutality of Marc Spector often results in bloodshed (often his own).

The story, “So White, Yet So Dark”, by Murewa Ayodele and Dotun Akande presents a team composed of only two individuals, Peter Parker and Mark Spector. Right off the bat, Spider-Man’s constant humor and banter clashes with the stoicism of Moonknight, and it is fully successful. Very similar to the more classic dynamics of Dead Pool and Wolverine. Helping Moon Knight so that Marc Spector can fulfill a mysterious request from the spider, the pair work well together as they wander through New York, stopping two Scarlet Scarabs who had enchanted the god Anubis into carrying out their orders. And even if Moon Knight can find Spiderman boring, in particular by its character traits that we know well, the alchemy between the two characters that everything opposes is clearly to be explored further.

Although a collaboration with the mcu is certainly too ambitious, a limited series in comics putting Moon Knight and Spiderman in the spotlight is possible. This short story has made it possible to discover the good alchemy which could be fleshed out a little more in the pages. Peter Parker and Marc Spector forming a very combative and determined duo, contrasted by their hero personalities, one bearing heavily the jokes of his indispensable counterpart. We’ll see what the future holds, but let’s hope that the success of this little story will allow us to develop a mini-series centered on Spiderman and Moon Knight.
