Luis Severino combined with two relievers to allow one hit and prolong New York’s exceptional starts, and the Yankees beat the Detroit Tigers 3-0 on Saturday.

Aaron Judge hit his 21st homer on the first pitch of the game as the Yankees won their fifth straight game and for the ninth time in 11 since their only losing streak of three this year on May 22-23.

Miguel Cabrera’s 3,003rd hit led off the second inning after Severino finished the first with just 12 pitches.

Cabrera singled when his line bounced off shortstop Isiah Kiner-Falefa’s glove and into left field, the Venezuelan’s fifth hit against Severino.

The other Tiger to get to first against Severino was Derek Hill who walked after one out in the third but was out trying to steal second base.

Severino struck out 10 in his 11th game in double figures.

Detroit rookie Beau Brieske (0-5) gave up two runs on three hits in six innings.

For the Tigers, Cabrera 3-1.
