South Korean technology unveiled the new folding smartphones Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 Y Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 on August 10, 2022. Shortly after the announcement, the devices became available for pre-purchase in global markets. Now, the market leader company announces the first pre-purchase registrations of its new foldables.
In Portugal the devices cost from €1,149 and from €1,859 for the Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold4 models, respectively. They’re objectively expensive, but they represent the best Samsung can do, combining foldable screen technology with engineering that supports the entire mobile device.
More than 50,000 pre-sales in just 12 hours in the 2nd largest market in the world
This fact is striking considering the size of this market, the second largest in the world, considering sales of smartphones and mobile devices. In fact, India, a market dominated by the cheaper options of Xiaomi, Realme and Samsung, has now given the South Korean giant a great advantage thanks to the new foldables.
It should also be noted that India’s report is not a unique case. Around the world, the new generation of Samsung foldable smartphones conquers the most demanding public. Note also that the Galaxy Z Flip4 is relatively affordable compared to the Galaxy Z Fold4 model, with the former more geared towards the Lifestylefor the style and social connotation associated with the mobile device.
Strong reception in one of the key markets of Samsung and Xiaomi
On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold is a productivity platform. The same can (and should) be used with the S-Pen to make the most of the big screen inside. The same can be said for its protective case and stand that make it an incredible device for reading documents, viewing and preparing presentations, among many other possibilities.
India, like many other markets, becomes a mirror of Samsung’s success. Also, for early adopters who opted to pre-purchase, Samsung has several products bundled with the phones.
Notably, those who purchased the Galaxy Z Flip4 Bespoke Edition received the Wireless Charger Duo and Slim Clear Cover for free. That is, they received the brand’s wireless charger, as well as the transparent protective case for the smartphone.
Finally, we are now waiting for new sales data in this initial phase of the product’s arrival on the market. However, early indicators are indeed (very) positive.
